Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies are, how Gamble New | European iGaming News, Regulation & Industry Insights uses them across this site, and how you can manage or disable them if you prefer.

What cookies do for you

Our website uses cookies, as almost all websites do, to help provide the best experience we can. Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or mobile device when you browse websites.

Our cookies help us:

  • Make our website work as you’d expect
  • Remember your settings during and between visits
  • Offer you free services/content (thanks to advertising)
  • Improve the speed/security of the site
  • Allow you to share pages with social networks like Facebook
  • Continuously improve our website for you
  • Make our marketing more efficient (ultimately helping us to offer the service we do at the price we do)

We do not use cookies to:

  • Collect any personally identifiable information (without your express permission)
  • Collect any sensitive information (without your express permission)
  • Pass personally identifiable data to third parties
  • Pay sales commissions

For full detail on how we collect, use, and protect your data, see our Privacy Policy.

Granting us permission to use cookies

If your browser is set to accept cookies, we take that, along with your continued use of this website, to mean you’re comfortable with this, in line with our Terms of Use. If you’d rather not allow cookies, see the guidance below on how to remove or block them.

Essential cookies

These cookies are required for the website to function correctly. They enable basic features such as page navigation and security, and cannot be switched off without affecting core site functionality.

Analytics cookies

We use cookies, including from tools such as Google Analytics and PostHog, to compile visitor statistics, such as how many people visit the site, what device or browser they’re using, how long they stay, and which pages they view. This helps us identify problems and improve the site over time. These cookies also tell us, anonymously, how visitors found us (for example, through a search engine) and whether they’ve visited before.

Advertising cookies

Cookies are widely used in online advertising. Neither us, advertisers, or our advertising partners can gain personally identifiable information from these cookies. We only work with partners who follow accepted privacy standards, such as the IAB’s good practice principles. You can learn more about online advertising, and opt out of most advertising cookies, at Your Online Choices. Opting out won’t stop you from seeing adverts, but they’ll no longer be tailored to you.

We fund the site in part through adverts, usually managed by a partner that serves ads across multiple sites. These partners may place cookies to collect anonymous data about the sites you visit, so they can personalise adverts, limit repeat ads, and report performance to advertisers.

Social sharing cookies

We include sharing buttons so you can easily share our content on platforms like Facebook and Twitter. Cookies are set by those platforms directly, and the privacy implications depend on each network’s own settings.

Managing and disabling cookies

You can usually switch cookies off by adjusting your browser settings to stop it from accepting cookies. Doing so however will likely limit the functionality of ours and a large proportion of the world’s websites as cookies are a standard part of most modern websites.

If your concern is around spyware rather than cookies generally, anti-spyware software can automatically remove cookies flagged as invasive, without you needing to disable cookies in your browser.
