OpenBet goes live with Loterie Romande across digital and 2,350 retail sites

OpenBet and Loterie Romande logos for sportsbook platform launch in Switzerland

The JouezSport sportsbook moves to OpenBet across online, self-service terminals, and 2,350 retail points of sale, with Cash Out live at launch.

State-licensed lottery operators across Europe are accelerating sportsbook platform migrations as omnichannel compliance requirements and player experience expectations tighten. OpenBet confirmed on 15 October 2026 that its sportsbook platform is now live with Loterie Romande, the exclusive regulated sports betting operator for Switzerland’s six French-speaking cantons, covering online, self-service betting terminals and 2,350 retail point-of-sale locations.

Platform migration brings Cash Out and AI-driven trading to Swiss retail

OpenBet has moved Loterie Romande’s JouezSport omnichannel sportsbook from its previous FDJ Gaming Solutions-powered platform onto the OpenBet stack, with the migration covering online, self-service betting terminals and 2,350 point-of-sale retail locations across French-speaking Switzerland. A Cash Out feature is live across digital channels from day one.

OpenBet’s Managed Trading Services provide AI-enhanced odds creation and risk management, while the OpenBet Trading System functions as a multi-vendor orchestration hub — aggregating data, trading services and content through a single integration. Loterie Romande operates under Switzerland’s federal gaming framework as the sole authorised sports betting operator for the country’s French-speaking cantons, serving players across six cantons.

World Cup 2026 stress-test underpins go-live confidence

The go-live follows OpenBet’s record performance at the FIFA World Cup 2026. The platform processed more than 175 million bets and over $3 billion in stakes across its global customer base during the tournament, its largest betting event to date, while recording zero outages from the opening match to the final.

OpenBet says it now powers more than 20 lotteries worldwide, with Loterie Romande joining a WLA member client base that has expanded significantly since the company’s $450 million management buyout from Endeavor Group completed in March 2025.

Executives on the deal

Nikos Konstakis, President at OpenBet, said:

‘We are proud to partner with Loterie Romande, delivering an enhanced player experience with Cash Out live at launch, alongside an unwavering commitment to responsible gaming and regulatory compliance.’

Jean-Luc Moner-Banet, CEO of Loterie Romande, said:

‘OpenBet’s sportsbook technology, track record and customer-centric approach meant that they were best placed to understand our specific requirements, and the natural choice to evolve the experience for our players.’

OpenBet holds WLA Gold Contributor status, a designation that requires suppliers to meet the association’s standards for social responsibility, responsible gaming, security and risk management.
